How does Inzi pricing compare to Stripe, PayPal, and Coinbase Commerce?

For a digital business processing fifty thousand US dollars per month from international clients, total fees vary dramatically across providers. The numbers below assume the published 2026 rates and a typical cross-border merchant profile (foreign-issued cards, currency conversion required).

ProviderTotal feesNotes
Stripe (cross-border + FX)$2,150/mo3.9% + 1.5% FX spread on a $50K month, plus $30 chargeback risk reserves on refund-prone categories
PayPal Business (international)$2,475/mo4.4% + $0.30 fixed + ~1% FX spread; settlement 3–5 business days; freeze risk on disputed transactions
Coinbase Commerce$500/mo1.0% per transaction, custodial — funds held by Coinbase until manual withdrawal; subject to platform outages
Inzi Growth$549/mo1.0% per transaction + $49 monthly; non-custodial — funds settle directly to your wallet within 30 minutes; no chargeback risk
Inzi Scale$499/mo0.7% per transaction + $149 monthly; suited for $100K+/mo volume; same non-custodial settlement

A merchant on the Growth plan saves approximately $19,200 per year versus PayPal Business and approximately $19,600 per year versus Stripe cross-border, while keeping full custody of funds and removing chargeback exposure. The break-even point at which Inzi Scale beats Inzi Growth is approximately $33,000 per month in volume — above that, Scale's lower transaction fee outweighs the higher subscription. Custom enterprise pricing brings the per-transaction fee below 0.7% above $250K/mo.

"Verified merchant" status — referenced in the Starter and Growth plan limits — is granted automatically after the first $1,000 of confirmed payments and a successful KYB attestation through our partner provider. Unverified merchants can still process payments but are subject to a $5,000 monthly cap and slower settlement during the first 30 days. Verification is free, takes one business day, and unlocks the published per-transaction rates without further changes.

Pricing FAQ

Transaction fees are deducted automatically from each individual payment before it settles to your wallet — there is no separate invoice and no card on file required for transaction fees. For example, on the Growth plan a $500 customer payment becomes a $495 settlement to your wallet (1.0% fee). Subscription fees on the Growth and Scale plans are billed monthly in advance via your configured payment method (card or stablecoin standing instruction); the first month is prorated to your sign-up date. Failed subscription charges trigger a 7-day grace period before the account drops back to the Starter rate. Switching plans takes effect immediately and the difference is prorated.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible by design — Inzi cannot reverse a confirmed payment. To refund a customer, send a stablecoin transfer from your settlement wallet directly back to the customer's payer address (visible in the dashboard payment detail view). Because Inzi is non-custodial, there are no chargebacks — a customer cannot dispute a confirmed on-chain payment to claw funds back, eliminating the chargeback fee load that Stripe and PayPal merchants face on cross-border transactions. This is one of the core reasons high-ticket and high-risk merchants migrate to stablecoin rails. For disputed services, we recommend escrow-style payment links with explicit terms in the customer-facing description field.
The headline transaction fee covers all Inzi processing costs — no monthly minimum above the listed subscription, no per-API-call fees, no setup cost, no domain or webhook fees. Customer-side network gas is paid by the customer (Solana ~$0.0003, Polygon ~$0.001, Tron ~$0.30 from staked energy, Ethereum varies). When EUR off-ramp launches in Q4 2026, FX conversion will use the mid-market rate plus a 0.5% spread, shown transparently before each conversion confirmation. There are no overage tiers — your per-transaction fee stays flat regardless of volume in a given month, so you always know your effective cost in advance.
The minimum payment is one US dollar equivalent. Any smaller payment would lose more than half its value to network gas fees on most chains and is rejected at the checkout layer. There is no hard maximum for verified merchants, but enterprise transactions over $10,000 typically benefit from a 30-minute pre-call so we can pre-approve larger sweep limits and confirm the customer's chosen chain has sufficient liquidity. Tron and Solana handle six-figure transactions cleanly; Ethereum becomes uneconomical above $50 unless the customer is comfortable with the gas cost. Unverified merchants are capped at $5,000 per month until KYB is completed (free, ~24h).
